You're long gone and moved on

I once loved you with a passion that burnt fiery red but sad to say that it's now turning blue. Whatever feelings I have left harboured for you are slipping through the cracks of my heart like loose sand seeping through the ajar seams between fingers. I wish I could hold on to everything we had but it dawned upon me that as I create new memories with new people, the memories of you inevitably fade away from my mind to make room. Just like that, I remember a little less about you and live a little better with every passing day.

Now that I can see everything with crystal clarity, I came to realize how much love really clouded my vision and corroded my mind. I am my sane self again, and am never more glad. ☺
